This gallery reflects issues that wildlife and people face almost every day along the coast. It barely scratches the surface of all threats.

Wildlife entanglement in fishing line and commercial fishing gear is a threat to sea turtles, and other wildlife such as Diamond-backed Terrapins. Driving on beaches where seabirds, shorebirds and sea turtles nest results in death, low reproductive success, and habitat loss. Flooding from hurricanes, king tides, and storms threatens communities and infrastructure.
