My yard has trees. Lots of them. Some are old. Some are young. And some are hollow, which is common with some species of native trees. I keep all of them because they serve a purpose. Birds love them. One of the interesting birds in my yard is Barred Owls. There are several that use the yard. They call often and I see them hunting lizards and frogs, and occasionally find a pile of feathers that tells me they are eating songbirds like Cardinals and Blue Jays. Native plants and structure give me a diversity of birds and other wildlife.
