The Snow Geese came into view over the fields at Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge around 4:45pm on the day this photo was taken. The Tundra Swans were already there and had been there for some time. Snow Geese are cautious and their approach is usually slow and deliberate. The geese landed with swans as the last light of the day began to fade.
